When losing weight rapidly, obviously clothing sizes change rapidly. Don’t let your rapidly changing size end up an embarrassing situation!
Several months after my gastric bypass we had a wedding to attend. It was December, so I had to wear stockings with my dress. Several weeks before the event, I bought thigh highs. I was feeling good about myself and my new body; no need to go with the queen size stockings this time! Although I tried on my dress a couple of days before the wedding, I didn’t try on the stockings.
The day of the wedding, we are all dressed and ready to go, and we stop at Wawa for a coffee (it was quite a long ride to the event). While in Wawa, I feel something odd around my ankle, and to my horror, look down and see it’s my thigh high, now pooled around my foot! I must’ve lost just enough weight in between the time I bought them to the day of the wedding to make them too big. Needless to say, I had to take them off in the car, and go without, making it a very chilly evening!
So double check those sizes and try on RIGHT BEFORE you go! Remember, your clothing size will change very fast, sometimes day to day, and you don’t want to end up with your tights on the floor of a convenience store!
